Clean, spacious room with a comfortable bed. The shared terrace offered a pleasant view of Lake Como.
The lack of reliable wifi was a setback, often disconnecting. Hot water took ages to arrive. The steep uphill walk from the main area could be exhausting after a long day, and the basic furnishings felt cheap and uninviting.

It has a nice view, good balcony.
Very poor reception lacks professional attitude. facilities are very basic eventhough they can improve a lot. The 3 star rating is bit misleading. Reception is closed most of the time. No airconditioning, heating. Breakfast was buffet but someone looking over your shoulder. It has a pool, gym but not so great.

Very basic, simple, quiet and clean; we prefered being away from center of town and in a residential area; easy walk to town; good breakfast; loved hearing all Como birds in the early morning; disappointed the pool wasn't full and functioning; easier to stay here if you have a car.

The best thing about Hotel Sonega was the balcony which had a few across Lake Como
The furniture in the room was very shabby and some of the tiles on the balcony needed replacing the 500 metres to the front was a bit misleading and there was no mention of the very hilly walk down to it the reception has very limited opening hours

The rooms were super spacious with a great balcony view of the mountains 😍 Breakfast options could definitely be improved, though. The uphill walk is a workout! A nice stay.

Beautifully landscaped surroundings with clean pool area.
The uphill walk from the town is exhausting, especially after dinner. I had to rely on the hotel owner's limited shuttle service, as taxis are scarce. It was frustrating not to be informed about the breakfast pricing upfront, quite steep for our family.

Children had 30 minutes fun in the swimming pool!
We arrived late to the Hotel and the staff were quite unfriendly and not welcoming at all! Equally being told how many Croissants were permissible to be eaten at Breakfast felt odd to me! Not something I have ever experienced before!

location up on hill is great if you don't mind a short steep walk - quiet residential area but only 10 minute walk into the village centre. Swimming pool was fantastic and is the one real advantage this hotel has over others in the same price range. hotel has a nice relaxed atmosphere - probably too relaxed if you are somebody who prefers staff running around after you all the time.
The room we had could do with some attention and was very basic, shower dirty, and the pillows rock hard. The instant coffee served at breakfast is barely drinkable.

The spacious junior suite offered a serene escape, complete with a large terrace perfect for enjoying the fine mountain views. Breakfast by the pool was good, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes. The steep walk from the ferry dock was quite strenuous after a long day, and there should be a heads-up about the need for non-wheeled luggage due to cobblestone streets. A more reliable Wi-Fi connection would enhance the experience.

The room was newly decorated and a nice size with view, the staff were very friendly! The location was particularly good, at a short distance from Chiesa di Santa Marta. The restaurant here was good for breakfast.
